Probate

Probate requires the court to control the administration and distribution of your estate following your death. A Probate action can range from a relatively uncomplicated Small Estate Administration to an expensive, time-consuming formal and contested Probate litigation. Most Probate actions are not contested but, depending on the circumstances, may still be costly and time-consuming.

These are some of the reasons for carefully developing an Estate Plan now and avoiding costly court controlled administration later.
